Microsoft has just rolled out the first service pack of Office 2011 for Mac. This service pack (SP1) update comes with several bug fixes, added functionality, improved security, and performance. The changlog for the Office for Mac 2011 SP1 (published as KB2525412) specifies that Microsoft Office for Mac 2011 SP1  fixes vulnerabilities in Office 2011 that an attacker can use to overwrite the contents of your computer’s memory with malicious code.
